Tattoo FAQ

Read through this section if you have any tattoo-related question

How do i book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by calling us at 819-600-6665, by coming to the shop in person or by email at info@hellboundtattoos.ca. We recommend by email because it gives the opportunity to send all your image reference in.

Do you have walk in days?
There are no scheduled walk-in days…but sometimes because of a cancellation, we will have some extra space. Call the shop to check in.

Do you tattoo people under 18?
No we don’t. Waiting for it is half the fun!

How much is my tattoo going to cost?
There is a shop-minimum of 100$ and after that it all depends on style, size, detail and placement. For a price quote, you need to get in touch with us.

Do you do piercing?
No we don’t. We are exclusively a tattoo shop.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes we do! And may I say this : it’s an awesome gift idea!

Is there a deposit?
There is a 200$ deposit to hold your spot. You can pay this deposit by coming down to the shop in person or by email transfer at info@hellboundtattoos.ca. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE .

What about cancellations?
You can only do so at least 48 hours before your appointment. You must send an email to cancel (No facebook cancellations, no instagram cancellations, no phone messages, NO EXCEPTIONS). Then and only then will your deposit be moved to your next appointment.

What form of payment do you accept?
We accept cash only at the shop and cash or email transfers for your deposit. There is an ATM on site.

What about aftercare?
After you get tattooed, your bandages should stay on for at least 2 hours. Remove them only right before you have a shower. When you wash your tattoo, use an unscented soap. Have a really long hot shower and then pat it dry with a clean towel. Air it out as much as possible. Avoid contact with clothing if you can. When it starts to get dry and tight, use a tiny bit of unscented moisturizing cream. Avoid direct contact with the sun. Avoid excessive dirt. Avoid swimming for at least 2-3 weeks. For any concern, just call the shop and we will be happy to help you out.

Why are foot/hand/neck tattoos not guaranteed?
Skin in those areas exfoliates twice as fast as the rest of your body. Therefore the skin doesn’t hold pigment as well. You can get it touched up, but it will be a paying touchup.

What should I do to prepare for my tattoo?
Don’t drink alcohol or take drugs the day before you get tattooed. Avoid taking blood-thinning medication. Get lots of rest the night before. Eat a good meal before you come in. You can also wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to make the experience more pleasant for you. Bring a sugary snack and if you’re getting tattooed for 5 hours or more, bring something to eat to keep you going.

Can I bring someone with me?
No, unfortunately. We want you to feel comfortable while you’re getting tattooed however it is a distraction and impedes the tattoo’s progress. We love kids but it’s best to find other arrangements during your appointment as they are not allowed in the shop during that time.
